Utah 'mountain man' fugitive back in court

SALT LAKE CITY -- A fugitive captured after a series of cabin break-ins in the Utah mountains will get a preliminary hearing June 10.

MANTI -- At first, many locals took to calling Troy James Knapp the mountain man. Even victims of his many cabin break-ins marveled over his ability to slip back into the woods and evade authorities over six years.

Utah 'mountain man' faces federal weapons charges

 

SALT LAKE CITY -- The fugitive recently captured by Utah authorities for a series of cabin break-ins over six years is now under federal investigation for firearms violations.

Authorities seek attempted homicide charges against 'mountain man'

 

MANTI -- Authorities were pushing Wednesday for attempted aggravated homicide charges against a survivalist suspected of burglarizing dozens of remote Utah cabins where he stayed while eluding capture for six years.

MANTI -- A 6-year-old boy was killed in a sleigh riding accident in Sanpete County.

Duwain Alma Larsen, 90, of Sunset, died in his sleep Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Beehive Homes in Layton, Utah.
