MORGAN — As furious comebacks go, this one ranks pretty high on the list. Unfortunately for Morgan, it just wasn’t quite enough.

Down 17 points to Bonneville with just over four minutes left in the game, the Trojans mounted a remarkable comeback, scoring 16 straight points to cut the Lakers’ lead to 53-52 with just under a minute to play. Cameron Skinner had a clean baseline shot with 46 seconds left that would have given Morgan its first lead of the game, but the ball hit both sides of the rim before popping out for good.

MORGAN — Time is the secret to building prize-winning gingerbread houses, Jennifer Vesper says.

The high-level gingerbread competitor organized the gingerbread house competition held Saturday at the Old-Fashioned Christmas Celebration on Commercial Street in the historic section of downtown Morgan.

About 700 people attended the event, which featured Santa and Mrs. Claus riding downtown on top of a Morgan County fire truck, followed by the lighting of a Christmas tree.
