CLEARFIELD -- The Dilley family got an early Christmas surprise when they were told they were the grand-prize winners of a $20,000 home repair contest.

Top of Utah youths who have earned their Eagle in Boy Scouting include:

Hunter Hiatt, 16, Troop 397, West Point 7th Ward. A son of Rob and Colleen Hiatt of West Point, he attends Syracuse High School.

Hunter Price, 15, Troop 395, West Point 7th Ward. A son of Justin and Tori Price of West Point and Jessica and Luke Brandley of Payson, he attends Payson High School.

PAYSON -- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of its future temple in Payson.

Wade A. Bills, 45, died in his sleep on Thursday, September 29, 2011. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2011, at the West Point City Cemetery, 40 N. 4000 West. SALT LAKE CITY -- A judge has ordered a Vernal man to stand trial on a capital murder charge in the 2009 killing of a retired Brigham Young University professor.

Wynonia Belle Prince, age 77 of Payson, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Lomand Peak Rehabilitation Center in Ogden. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 13, 2011, 12:00 noon, in the Mtn. View 5th Ward Chapel, 789 East Arrowhead Trail (700 North), Payson, where friends may call 10-11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Lomond Peak Assisted Living for all of the love, care, friendship and attention that they gave her for the past eighteen months of her life. Roy Davis Vellinga, 62,  died Friday, April 1, 2011. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 6 at the Payson Stake Center, 650 W. 800 South.
