SYRACUSE - Barbara Adams took her car in for a mechanical repair to a friend and former employer she trusted. Five days after last hearing from him she got a letter from the state letting her know her 1998 Dodge Caravan had been impounded for possible theft. Now she is expected to pay more than $500 in fees just to get her stolen car back.

Police: Man robs Dairy Queen in Syracuse at gun point; suspect still at large

SYRACUSE -- A Dairy Queen at 901 W. 1700 South was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night and the suspect is still at large, police said.A Hispanic adult male about 5 feet 6 inches tall entered the restaurant at about 10:30 p.m. and pointed a handgun at the cashier, said Syracuse Police Chief Garret Atkin.

SYRACUSE --  Police are investigating why a woman may have shot her two daughters to death and then herself sometime on Tuesday.The bodies of Kyler Ramsdell-Oliva, 32, Kenadee Oliva, 13 and Isabella Oliva, 7, were found about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at 2133 W. 1175 South, Syracuse.  Ramsdell-Oliva was the mother of the two girls, police said.
