TAYLORSVILLE -- For the second straight night, the Roy High softball team refused to give up when they were down and after the dust cleared on Wednesday's 4-A semifinal match they had made the championship game for the fourth-straight year.

TAYLORSVILLE -- The Bear River softball team was stalled on deck Friday as the morning rain storm made the Valley Softball Complex fields unplayable for much of the day.

The Bears (23-4) will meet Spanish Fork today at 10 a.m., and could play at 2:30 p.m. with a victory. A loss would put the Bears in a situation of needing to win as many as three more games today to make it back to the state 3-A championship game, now set for Monday at 2 p.m. at Salt Lake Community College.
