Bears get pitching to topple Grantsville

Grantsville — With two league losses, it would have been an uphill battle for Da Bears to sweep their fourth consecutive Region 11 softball title.

Five-time defending state 3-A champion Bear River tightened up the league standings Friday with a 4-3 win over previously undefeated Grantsville.

Unbeaten Stansbury took over sole possession of the Region 11 race, with the Bears and Cowboys tied for second place.
