Police find $339,000 in car's secret compartment

ST. GEORGE, Utah -- Authorities in southern Utah are investigating a possible drug case after seizing $339,000 in cash from a hidden compartment in a vehicle.

Fire destroys 2 homes in southern Utah town

TOQUERVILLE -- Authorities in southern Utah say fire destroyed two homes and several auxiliary buildings in a rural community subdivision before flames were contained.

Census: Hispanics increasing faster than other groups in Utah

Utah's population grew by more than half a million between 2000 and 2010, with the fastest portion of that growth minorities, especially Hispanics.

Receding waters ease flood fears in Southern Utah

SALT LAKE CITY -- Receding flood waters in Southern Utah on Wednesday left emergency officials with fewer problems than originally feared.

SALT LAKE CITY -- A dam on the Virgin River in Southern Utah that was feared to be close to breaking has been declared safe.
