Lowell and Carole West

Lowell and Carole West of West Weber will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Family and friends are welcome to attend an open house in their honor from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, at the West Weber LDS 3rd Ward, 900 S. 4100 West. No gifts. They will also be honored with a family dinner on Sept. 9.

They were married Sept. 1, 1961, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Idaho Falls Temple.

He worked as a school teacher for Panguitch High School and Weber School District, where he taught at Roy High School for 29 years.

John Price and Joe Meibos ran their part-time business, Mulek Mobile Oil, in which they changed oil for people at their homes, out of the truck.

Official: No threat from Pineview

WEST WEBER -- Lance Peterson wants residents to know that Pineview Reservoir is not endangering their property.

Peterson, Weber County's emergency services director, got multiple phone calls Thursday from concerned county residents who heard in a television report that the reservoir is taking in 3,200 cubic feet of water per second and only putting out half as much.

Gloria Martini Zanoni

Gloria Martini Zanoni will celebrate her 80th birthday with her family.

She was born on April 14, 1931, in Superior, Wyo., the oldest daughter of Gelindo and Carena Martini. In 1932, her family moved to West Weber, where she has lived her whole life.
