Fire fighters battle a house fire that started sometime around 4 a.m. at 282 East Lomond View Drive in Ogden Saturday, March 17, 2012. Wade Hurd and his wife have lived in the unique house for 37 years and built much of it themselves. Hurd said his house was full of antiques and personal belongings, "so many things you can't replace." He watched fire fighters house down his home for several hours from the street and neighbors' homes nearby. "You want them to go in a put it out," he said. "But you don't want them to get hurt." Many friends and neighbors stopped by to console Hurd, who said he was trying to joke around a little "so I don't start crying, but this is so hard to watch it burn." (Erin Hooley/Standard-Examiner)
