Vigil for Taylorsville teen

Friends, family and fellow students of David Q. Phan, 14, attend a vigil Thursday night in Taylorsville. Phan, a ninth-grader at Bennion Junior High School in the Granite School District, took a gun from a safe in his home and committed suicide in front of some students on a pedestrian bridge near his school on Thursday, officials say. School officials say the boy was in counseling for personal problems but that bullying was not one of them.
