“The Forgotten Carols,” by Utahn Michael McLean, tells the story of a nurse, Constance, whose empty life is changed by her patient, John, who has alleged psychiatric tendencies over the holidays. John walks her through the untold carols of the more “forgotten” characters in the Christmas story. Those “Forgotten Carols” are original songs from the perspective of such characters as the innkeeper who turned the young couple away and the shepherd who slept through the angel’s announcement. The event was staged at Weber State University.
