Company gets contract to grind green waste at Bountiful landfill

BOUNTIFUL -- After some careful calculations, city officials have offered a two-year contract to a local company to grind green waste at the city landfill.

The city council voted 5-0 to award a two-year green waste grinding contract to Bob's Tree Service at a cost of approximately $425 per hour. The waste will be ground at the city landfill, located west of Legacy Highway.

The green waste ground is composted, and is available for local residents to purchase.

Bountiful is the only city in Davis County to own a landfill.
