CLEARFIELD -- Those directly affected by Alzheimer's disease are invited to give their input at a national Alzheimer's planning session.
The session will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the North Davis Senior Activity Center at 42 S. State St. Laura Owen-Keirstead will serve as session moderator.
The Alzheimer's Association Utah Chapter will host the session to listen to views and perspectives of stakeholders in the community about what a national Alzheimer's plan should look like, said Nick Zullo, director of programs and advocacy.
Recommendations and comments expressed will be collected, analyzed and presented to officials from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Zullo said.
As many as 5.4 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease, including as many as 32,000 here in Utah, he said.
