OGDEN -- A 45-year-old Ogden man was arrested after police say he assaulted a family member with a baseball bat.
Roel Munoz was booked into Weber County Jail on suspicion of intoxication, aggravated burglary, assault and criminal mischief.
Lt. Shawn Hamblin said Munoz was at his home, located in the 900 block of Kiesel Avenue on Thursday at 2 a.m.
Police were notified after a family member called 911 and told them that a drunken family member was attacking another family member with a wood bat.
Hamblin said Munoz had been arguing with his 44-year-old family member over a comment made about one of the men's wife. The victim went into a camp trailer that was parked on Munoz's property.
"The victim was inside of the trailer," Hamblin said. "Munoz broke out the window, unlocked the door, and assaulted (the victim)."
Hamblin said because the trailer did not belong to Munoz, he received the aggravated burglary charge for breaking into the trailer.
The victim received several lacerations to the chest.
