Rotary club sets rubber duckie sale

OGDEN -- The Mt. Ogden Rotary Club is selling rubber ducks for the "Rubber Duckie Derby" to be held at noon Aug. 27 at the Ogden River (across from the Prairie Schooner).

The event benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Weber/Davis and provides funds for the "Dictionary Project," in which the Mt. Ogden Rotary Club distributes dictionaries for all third-graders in the Ogden and Weber school districts.

The club has a booth at the 25th Street Farmers Market selling ducks from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday. The club is currently still looking for corporate sponsors.

The club also would like to announce its newly installed board officers, elected July 1: President Kelly J. Anderson; Treasurer Betty Simons; Secretary Marie Kotter; Sergeant-At -Arms Dave Crim; President-elect Rebecca Ory-Hernandez; Foundation Chair Robert Froerer.
