Outlaws have the blues in season-ending defeat

WASHINGTON TERRACE -- The Ogden Outlaws season ended on a bitter and controversial note as the L.A. Blues scored three goals in the second half to rally from a 1-0 halftime deficit to take a 3-2 victory at Bonneville High School.

Ogden's Chance Bukoski scored off a penalty kick in the first half to give the Outlaws a 1-0 advantage.

After everything going right for the first 45 minutes, the second half became an absolute disaster for the Ogden side.

The Blues scored just seconds into the second stanza to level the match at 1-1 and then scored off a penalty kick in the 50th minute after it was ruled defender Sam Hickman denied a goal-scoring opportunity.

The Blues converted their chance to take a 2-1 lead.

Despite playing down a man, Ogden tied the match up a 2-2 on a goal from Andy Cornia after Joe Hickman played the ball through to him.

In the 80th minute, Los Angeles was awarded another penalty kick and coverted for the final goal of the match.

Ogden finished its 2011 season at 3-9-4, having its four-match unbeaten streak snuffed out with the loss.
