Ogden woman dies after car hits tree

OGDEN — A school crossing guard died Sunday morning after crashing her 1999 Subaru Forester station wagon at 455 Grant Ave.

Ogden resident Linda Cook, 68, was heading north on Grant Avenue when she drove over the curb and crashed into a tree in front of a home, an Ogden police report states.

Paramedics removed Cook from the vehicle, and she was transported by helicopter to McKay-Dee Hospital, where she later died. Police were investigating the cause of the accident but believe it may be related to a medical issue.
