KAMAS -- A troop of Boy Scouts has helped authorities recover the body of a Utah man who deputies say died while fishing at Big Elk Lake.

The Scouts located the body of 54-year-old Heber City resident Ricky Widdison Monday evening.

Summit County Sheriff's deputies and members of a search and rescue team flew to the remote location in a helicopter to bring the body to Kamas.

Deputies say the man was found shortly after his death and appears to have injuries from a short fall.

Officials say the death does not appear suspicious and Widdison was alone when the accident happened.

The investigation is ongoing. Officials have not determined an official cause of death.

Big Elk Lake is east of Kamas.
