ROY - A man is in custody after police say he got into an argument with his wife and abandoned her car on train tracks in Roy, sparking an early morning crash.
KSL-TV reports police arrested Ronald Degroot later in the morning. They suspect he was drunk when he was fighting with his wife.
Nobody was injured in the accident
FrontRunner service was delayed after the 4:30 a.m. accident on the tracks near 4800 South. A Union Pacific train hit the vehicle and pushed it off the tracks. Utah Transit Authority spokesman Gerry Carpenter said the vehicle was in a place difficult for tow trucks to access.
FrontRunner passengers were being bused between the Clearfield and Roy stations, while the damaged vehicle is being removed.
