Social Security offices, including Ogden's, cut hours

OGDEN — Because of budget cuts, Social Security field offices nationwide will close to the public 30 minutes early after Aug. 15.

That includes the field office at 324 25th St., Ogden, which serves much of Top of Utah.

The new office hours will be 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Social Security Administration said employees will still work full shifts and the early closure will let them finish paperwork without incurring overtime.

Most Social Security services can be accessed on the Internet atwww.socialsecurity.gov or by calling toll-free 800-772-1213 (TTY 800-325-0778).
