* Utah authors from the Eden Writers Group will be talking about and signing copies of their ghost stories book "Tales From Huntsville, Eden, Liberty And Beyond ..." (DMT Publishing, $9.99), 1-5 p.m. Saturday at Hastings. On a dark and stormy night in Eden, the writers group took up the challenge to write the spooky stories. They were used to writing in genres such as romance, young adult, science fiction, creative non-fiction and memoir -- but never horror. Their stories are now part of the new anthology, which includes: the story of a woman who dies in a crash and hitchhikes in the Ogden Canyon; a saloon that is haunted by its past; a dog that stands guard over his master's grave; a deserted shack that lures lost teenagers; a girl who picks up a hitchhiker, be he isn't what he seems; a horse that helps solve a mystery; Mountain Maggie who is alive and well and living in Liberty; a house that is built over an ancient burial ground; a man taunted by a reflection in a mirror; an office geek who takes revenge; a family road trip that turns into a horror movie; a couple celebrating their anniversary in an unusual manner; and a crystal mining outing that turns into a nightmare.
