CLEARFIELD -- Clearfield Police continue to investigate a fight between students from Job Corps.
According to a press relase from Sgt. Kyle Jefferies, dispatch received a call Tuesday evening from a citizen informing them of a fight between 20 to 30 people at Barlow Park. The people fighting were reported to have bats and sticks which were being used as weapons.
Officers responded to the area and were able to locate 15-20 people that were involved.
It was found that all involved in the fight were current Job Corps students, Jefferies indicated. These individuals were detained and transported to Clearfield Job Corps where interviews were conducted.
Information obtained indicated that there were ongoing problems between two different groups from Job Corps and that they responded to the park to fight, Jeffries said in the press release. All persons arrested were either involved in the physical act of the fight or responded to the fight to encourage and instigate the act, Jeffries added.
