West Valley police arrest teens for stealing Hondas

WEST VALLEY CITY -- A group of teenagers between 14 and 18 years old is facing charges of stealing cars in West Valley City.

KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/nOY0Gg ) West Valley City police responded to a call about a stolen Honda Accord just after midnight Wednesday. Officers surrounded the car and took three teens into custody.

Police say they caught up with a second group of teens who apparently saw their friends being arrested and dumped another Honda a few blocks away.

Officials say they were able to trace the second group because the teens were connecting through their cell phones.

Three teens were arrested and four others were released after questioning.

Police are following up on reports that the group may have stolen three other Hondas.
