Photo shows Jeffs riding Harley, wearing Guinness cap

SAN ANGELO, Texas -- A Texas jury has seen photos of polygamist leader Warren Jeffs riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and wearing novelty T-shirts and a baseball cap with a Guinness beer logo.

The photos shown Monday during the sentencing phase of Jeffs' child sex assault trial were a contrast to the modest, conservative attired favored by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Jeffs is the ecclesiastical head of the church. The 55-year-old faces life in prison after being convicted by the same jury last week of sexually assaulting two young followers he had taken as "brides," who were 12 and 15 years old.

A state investigator testified that Jeffs visited 23 states over nearly a year while eluding authorities.
