Tuesday fire was controlled burn

WEST WARREN -- The Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands permitted a controlled burn in western Weber County on Tuesday.

The fire was an agricultural burn to remove a stubble field so a farmer can plant new crop, said Dave Vickers, fire warden for Weber and Davis counties. The fire produced a large column of white smoke that could be seen across the county.
