RANDOLPH -- The Salt Lake Field Office, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Ogden Ranger District, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, USDA Forest Service announces an information open house for the Three Creeks Allotment Consolidation proposal.
The proposed area of consolidation lies west of State Highway 16 near Randolph, Utah and about 16 miles east of Hyrum, Utah. It consists of approximately 143,000 acres. Ownership is divided between the BLM (65,000 acres), Forest Service (35,000 acres), State Institutional Trust Land (SITLA) (12,400 acres), and private landowners (29,100 acres).
The BLM and Forest Service, as joint lead agencies, are seeking public input regarding issues and resource information on the potential impacts of a proposal to consolidate 10 grazing allotments (five BLM and five Forest
Service) into one management unit and implement a comprehensive change in livestock management, including the addition of improvements, on federally-owned lands managed by the BLM and Forest Service.
The public is invited to attend the information open house meeting Aug 31 from 5 - 7 p.m.:
