FBI will present seminar on business fraud

KAYSVILLE -- The threat of business fraud has become so commonplace the Davis Chamber of Commerce has called in the FBI to present its case.

A special educational event to address the issue of business fraud will be hosted by the chamber at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the NorthFront Business Resource Center, 450 S. Simmons Way.

The event is open to the public. The cost is $25 per chamber member and $30 per person.

The principle presenters at the event will be FBI Agents Shane Esplin and Karl Schmae, who will address white collar crime, corporate espionage, identity theft, business security and more, Davis Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jim Smith said.

"By involving the FBI in our presentation, we expand the scope from merely local issues to include global security threats as well," Smith said.
