Fire averted when vehicle hit gas line

WEST HAVEN -- Police say no one was injured when a car hit a gas line Saturday evening in front of the Jack B. Parson Company.

Weber County Sheriff's Deputy Sgt. David Macinnes said a car was traveling northbound in lane No. 1 on 1900 West and about 2100 South just after 6:20 p.m. when the driver overcorrected and veered off the road.

Macinnes said the car hit a gas line. Crews responded to shut off the line and repair damaged equipment.

Macinnes said no one was injured and traffic was not impeded by the incident.
