(UNEDITED) In response to a letter of a few days ago titled "Did conservatives cast insults, lies about Obama?" From the content of this persons letter it is obvious they watch only unbiased news networks such as Fox News, and listens only to Conservative talk show hosts such as Hannity, Beck and the king of all; Big Rush Limberger. The mouth that for years operated with use of his drug supply and maybe still does. But does the writer watch and listen to who I just mentioned? If so they would realize that Obama is highly critized, made mockery of, and outright lied about. In my opinion these Conservative types are ruthless and ignorant more often than not.
I feel the writer doesn't begin to understand the importance of protecting the environment. History proves that while corporations made hugh profits their primary concerns weren't to protect the environment as well as they should have. In several cases avoided being responsible and only complied when government regulations were enforced. With the Conservatives, money is more important than good environments policies. Bad policies or no regulations governing environmental polluting means bad water, bad air, plant life, etc. I believe we people need to appreciate our devoted environmentalists for their efforts in safeguarding our environment.
History shows over and over that the Bush/Cheney years ran our country virtually into the ground, and nearly beyond recovery. It doesn't take a rocket scientist or brain surgeon to realize this. Take a moment, be a bit open minded, and do a little thinking for yourself.
And about our country being respected by other countries around the world. Because of the Bush/Cheney and their go to war actions, backed by nothing but lies, the US lost a lot of respect by several countries. President Obama with his sincerity and honesty has restored much of what our country has lost.
It was quoted unemployment was at 5% under George W. At one point maybe so. He inherited that from President Clinton, and during his 8 years he ran that straight into the ground as well. So just why don't we reelect another Conservative President so we can have things so wonderful again?
Has this writer read or listened to what Warren Buffet said about the super wealthy paying a much lower tax rate percentage in comparision to the tax rate percentage of the working class people ? Waken up people.
