Woman's body recovered from Lake Powell

PAGE, Ariz. -- Authorities say they've recovered the body of a Colorado woman reported missing from a houseboat in northern Arizona.

Glen Canyon National Recreation Area officials received a report of a missing person in Slick Rock Canyon on Tuesday morning.

They say the woman was on a houseboat trip with her husband, who reported that he hadn't seen her since the evening before.

Park rangers responded to the houseboat and initiated a search. They say the woman's body was located in about 8 feet of water in close proximity to the houseboat.

The name of the woman hasn't been released.

Park officials said Wednesday that the death was being investigated.
