Aug 25 2011 - 12:11am

Fire crews from Weber Fire District and Little Mountain Test Annex extinguished a grass fire that burned about 4 acres at the test facility Wednesday afternoon. The fire is believed to have started when the muffler of a contractor's vehicle came in contact with the grass, according to a news release from Hill Air Force Base. The vehicle was destroyed, but no injuries or other damage was reported. The HAFB-managed Little Mountain Test Annex is a 740-acre facility about 15 miles west of Ogden that is primarily used to test missile components.
