HARRISVILLE -- Police are investigating a fight involving 15 to 20 people in which four people were injured.
Someone who was involved in the fight at an apartment complex near 1400 North and 900 West called police around 2 a.m. Sunday. But by the time the Weber County Sheriff's deputies arrived, all of the suspects had left the scene, police said.
"There were two groups. One group lives there (at the apartment complex) and the other group was visiting with some acquaintances at another part of the apartment complex," said Weber County Sheriff's Lt. Matthew Bell.
Detectives are still investigating what caused the fight, he said.
The only person police believe was seriously injured was a woman who was punched and kicked in the head and face, Bell said. She was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
One man was cut across his chest with a knife and told police that he was sprayed with Mace. A second man was hit and kicked in the head and also said he was "Maced." Neither man went to the hospital in an ambulance.
A third man also had a cut on his hand from a knife. Paramedics bandaged his hand, but he took himself to an area hospital.
Bell said the four injured people are in their 20s.
The Weber County Sheriff's Office, Harrisville Police and the Ogden Metro Gang Unit all came to the scene.
Bell said he did not know if anyone involved is associated with a gang.
The second group that was visiting at the complex likely lives in the Ogden area, Bell said.
