Boat seized and three individuals identified in death of swimmer

OGDEN — The Weber County Sheriff’s Office has obtained the boat and identified three individuals they believe were involved in the death of a swimmer at Pineview Reservoir.
“We have the boat in our possession that we believe was involved in the incident,” Lt. Mark Lowther said.
No arrests have been made at this time, but the sheriff’s office is interviewing one of the individuals and is still looking for potential witnesses.
“We believe there are still people in our community that may have more information on the case,” Lowther said.
Ogden resident Esther Fujimoto, 49, died while swimming the Spring Creak Cove area of Pineview Reservoir on Aug. 7.
