SALT LAKE CITY — An economic forum featuring the top two Republicans on congressional tax-writing committees is planned for the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem.
Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah says the national debt will be the focus of the forum, which he is hosting Wednesday. Other topics will include tax and entitlement reform.
Hatch is the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee.
Republican Rep. Dave Camp of Michigan, the ranking Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee, will speak during the forum.
Douglas Holtz-Eakin is also scheduled to participate. Holtz-Eakin is the former director of the Congressional Budget Office.
