KAYSVILLE -- The city will hold a Meet the Candidates Night at 7 p.m. Thursday at City Hall.
The open house is being held in preparation for the Sept. 13 primary election and will provide community members the opportunity to meet with city council candidates on a casual basis. Each candidate will have a table to display their literature and will be available to answer questions.
There are nine candidates running for three available seats on the council. Incumbents Mark D. Johnson, Ron Stephens and Brett Garlick are seeking re-election. Challengers are Ronald C. Barton, Stroh L. DeCaire, Orwin Ferris Draney, Susan Lee, Christian Nielsen, and Richard D. Rosier.
