Lowell and Carole West

Lowell and Carole West of West Weber will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Family and friends are welcome to attend an open house in their honor from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, at the West Weber LDS 3rd Ward, 900 S. 4100 West. No gifts. They will also be honored with a family dinner on Sept. 9.

They were married Sept. 1, 1961, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Idaho Falls Temple.

He worked as a school teacher for Panguitch High School and Weber School District, where he taught at Roy High School for 29 years.

She worked at Weight Watchers and Casper Day Care.

They are active members of the West Weber LDS 3rd Ward and have served in various callings.

They have lived in West Weber for the past 39 years, where they have raised their children. Their five children and spouses are David West, Ogden; Steve and Julie West, Taylor; Janeil West, Ogden; Brian and Sally West, Pleasant View; and Deon and Brenden Kirkwood, Layton.

They have 11 grandchildren: Chris Judkins, Marcee Judkins, Chealcee Judkins, Cameron Larsen, Shelby Ball, Devin Ball, Sydney West, Aaron West, Stephanie Kirkwood, Nicole Kirkwood and Emily Kirkwood.
