L. Dean and Connie Forsberg Andersen will be honored on their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 10. Family and friends may attend a celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. at the home of Dick and JaDene Owen, 1343 W. Factory, Garland. In case of inclement weather, it will be held at the Garland LDS church, 175 S. Main.
They were married Sept. 10, 1951, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. They lived on the family farm in Blue Creek when they were first married, and have lived most of their married life in Bear River Valley. They have lived in Garland the past 37 years. He retired from Thiokol in November 1992 after 34 years, and she still works part time for Dr. Russell E. White.
Their children and spouses are JaDene and Dick Owen, Dee and LaNette Andersen, and Teena and Mike Hupp. Their grandchildren and spouses are Shaun and Marcie Owen, Tawnie Eliason, Shenise and Joey Barnes, Aspen and Wayne White, JanDee and Caleb Young, and Joshua and Shelbie Hupp. Their great-grandchildren and spouses are Carlie and Ike Williams, Shaunie Owen, Marlie Owen, Dixon Owen, Kooper Eliason, Kutter Eliason, Brylee Barnes, Bridger Barnes, Waylan White and Weston White. Their step-grandchildren and spouses are Niki and Kim Wilde, and Jed and Cory Gibbs. Their step-great-grandchildren are BreeAnna Barnes, Braydon Wilde, Cadon Wilde and Gavyn Gibbs.
They enjoy spending time with family and friends. They have made many friends and memories through the Box Elder County Sheriff's Posse and high school rodeos, which they have enjoyed with their children and grandchildren.
