FARMINGTON -- A one-day trial has been set for a man accused of assaulting his wife with nunchucks.
Andrew James Lukenbach, 30, of Centerville, appeared Monday in 2nd District Court before Judge John R. Morris.
Lukenbach is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of domestic violence in the presence of a child, all third-degree felonies.
Public defender Mark Arrington said Lukenbach declined the state's offer to a resolution.
The trial is set for Jan. 11.
Lukenbach is accused of hitting his wife and her friend, who is a man, with nunchakus when they pulled up in front of the Lukenbach home June 11. Three children, ages 7, 10 and 11, witnessed the episode.
