West Point adopts new storm water management plan

The city council recently voted in favor to adopt the storm water management plan, which outlined the goals and action it is taking to prevent pollution.

The goals are in six areas: public education and outreach; public involvement/participation; illicit discharge detection and elimination; construction site storm water runoff control; long-term storm water management in new and redevelopment; and, pollution prevention and good housekeeping for municipal operations.

Two certified inspectors, employed by West Point City, will investigate when any cause for concern arises.
