BRIGHAM CITY -- In his 25 years working law enforcement, Box Elder County Sheriff's Sgt. David Murphy had never heard of Nazi-related vandalism in his area -- until now.
On Wednesday evening, a complainant found a swastika and the word "Jew" painted in black on a traffic sign near 1500 North and 800 West. There was also the number 12 and a line painted on a stop sign at the railroad tracks nearby.
"It's not a very well-traveled road," so it's hard to say when a suspect would have vandalized the signs, Murphy said.
The owners of the signs planned to replace the signs on Thursday, he said.
