SNOWBASIN -- Northern Utah's chefs and restaurants will prepare their finest dishes to benefit the American Red Cross of Utah on Oct. 6 from 6-9 pm at the annual Autumn Gourmet Gala at Snowbasin Ski Resort.The event will take place in Earl's Lodge at Snowbasin Ski Resort and showcase Northern Utah's premier restaurants. Participating restaurants include Corbin's Grille, Davis Hospital, Harley & Bucks, Jasoh, MacCool's, Rooster's Brewing Company, Snowbasin Ski Resort, Sonora Grill, Tona, and Zucca Trattoria. Complimentary wine will be offered as well as a signature drink presented by Ogden's own Underground Distillery.
The participating restaurants and chefs are planning to prepare culinary masterpieces and showcase their talents. The evening will begin with a gourmet food tasting and silent auction, followed by a seated dessert and live auction full of exquisite packages featuring exclusive dining experiences, travel, jewelry and other specialty items donated by participating restaurants and businesses.
"This event offers a chance for our community to come out and enjoy some extraordinary food, spirits, and entertainment, and at the end of the night, know that they are playing a part in helping the American Red Cross," says Scott Schlisman, co-owner of MaCool's restaurant and pub. "The restaurants in Weber and Davis Counties have stepped up and joined hands to support the Red Cross, one plate at a time. We enjoy coming together to create a distinctive event that is centered around food while helping a vital organization in our community. "
