Blackhurst is new rodeo circuit queen

OGDEN -- The new Miss Wilderness Circuit is Morgan Bo Blackhurst, of Hoytsville.

Blackhurst, 21, was chosen as the queen of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association circuit that includes Utah, Nevada and southern Idaho on Saturday in a contest at the Golden Spike Events Center and Comfort Suites Hotel.

Blackhurst was the winner of the speech and personality awards and was runner-up for most rodeo tickets sold to the circuit finals rodeo to be held Oct. 27-29 at the Golden Spike Events Center.

First runner-up was Ashley Scott, 18, Aurora, who also won the horsemanship competition.

Second runner-up was Mackenzie Maughan, 19, Hooper, who also won the appearance portion of the event.

Tiffany King, 18, Marriott-Slaterville, won the ticket sales contest.

Brandy Mortensen, 21, Springville, won for the most creative in the freestyle horsemanship contest and was named Miss Congeniality.
