Florence Martha Rogerson of Eden celebrated her 85th birthday at a luncheon for family and friends on Saturday, Sept. 17.
She was born on Sept. 13, 1926, to William Goodell and Hazel Nelson.
She was married to Kenneth Jack Rogerson on July 18, 1950, in Ely, Nev. Their vows were later solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ogden Temple. They spent 59 years together until his death on Nov. 29, 2009.
She attended Washington High School. At age 15, she worked at Pierce Canning Factory. In 1944, she worked for the Ogden Arsenal, Hill Air Force Base and Defense Depot Ogden.
Her lifetime interests included her family, dancing, crafts, and hunting and fishing with her husband.
Her children and their spouses are Paulette and Roger Skipper, Roy; Garry Rogerson (deceased); Deanna and Nick Rowe, Eden; Kenneth Rogerson, Eden; Jack Rogerson (deceased); Clark Rogerson, Eden; Sharon and Michael Thinnes, North Ogden; and Karon Iacovetto, Rawlins, Wyo.
She has 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
