PLAIN CITY -- While it took a while to get going, the Fremont High Silver Wolves won going away, claiming a thrilling 20-7 victory over Davis in Region 1 football action on Friday night.

The Darts got the scoring started with a Tyson Denney to Garrett Montrone pass in the second quarter, a 9-yard strike.
But the Silver Wolves answered after the break, as QB Kelley Cooper and Brock Smith hooked up a 65-yard scoring play. While the PAT failed, the tide had turned toward the home squad.
The defense stepped up for the next Fremont score, as Jordan Preator intercepted a Denney pass and returned it 38 yards to paydirt. The two-point conversion pass was successful.
The Silver Wolves then ground out the rest of the game, adding a late score on a Nick Vigil 7-yard burst.
