MURRAY -- Authorities say a babysitter has been arrested in the death of an infant.
Thirty-five-year-old Jennifer Duran Martinez remained held Tuesday in the Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of child abuse homicide. She was arrested Monday.
Murray police say Martinez was caring for a four-month old boy on Thursday when she called 911 to report the child was in distress.
The boy was flown to a hospital and remained in critical condition until he died Saturday.
Police say the child had no previous health conditions. Martinez says the child started coughing up blood and stopped breathing shortly after the mother dropped off the boy.
She says she had nothing to do with the child's death.
