Clinton Fire Department sets open house on safety

CLINTON -- The city fire department will hold its annual fire-prevention open house Oct. 6 at Station 21 at 2153 N. 1500 West.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with tours, a helicopter static display, fire truck rides, displays about home fire hazards and an opportunity for parents to complete a lost-child identification kit, which includes a current photo, fingerprints and other pertinent information that can be crucial if a child is lost.

The department will demonstrate a live burn of a simulated bedroom.
