OGDEN -- A community garden planning meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Congregation Brith Sholem, 2750 Grant Ave.
The garden, proposed to be developed on property owned by Congregation Brith Sholem in South Ogden, is envisioned as a project involving a community of communities. Under this model, multiple organizations will arrange to have some of their members work to develop and tend the garden. Organizations will be able to choose the size and plantings for their plots.
Most other details still need to be worked out, but one point is non-negotiable: A portion of the harvest from each plot must go to feed the hungry or malnourished.
RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a sample plan for the garden in advance of the meeting. This will allow us all to start from a common reference point and build a plan by consensus.
