OGDEN -- Citing the need to be able to communicate with all neighbors, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ogden is offering conversational Spanish classes beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The weekly classes will be taught by Weber State University student EJ. Weston.
The classes are open to the public, and a donation of $20 for 10 classes is requested but not required.
Weston is volunteering his time, and any proceeds will go to help raise funds for church youth to attend the Unitarian Universalist Association General Assembly in Phoenix next June.
The Phoenix meeting will be educational and will provide opportunities for religious witness on immigration issues, states a news release from the church.
As space may be limited, those interested are asked to call the church and leave an RSVP message at 801-394-3338 or email the minister at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Ogden is at 705 23rd St. Enter from the parking lot side of the building and ring the bell at the top of the ramp.
