ST. GEORGE -- A 33-year-old man convicted of robbing a southern Utah bank and fleeing the scene on a bicycle has been ordered to spend more than three years behind bars.
The Spectrum of St. George reports (http://bit.ly/qi01B2 ) U.S. District Court Judge Ted Stewart on Monday sentenced Troy Timothy Riddle to 37 months in federal prison. Riddle was also ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution to the bank and spend three years on supervised release for the May 28, 2010 robbery.
Prosecutors say Riddle slipped a note to a teller at the State Bank of Southern Utah in Santa Clara saying he would blow her head off if she didn't comply with the robbery.
Police say Riddle left on a bicycle with an undisclosed amount of money.
