OGDEN -- The Ogden School Board on Tuesday chose Jeffrey N. Heiner to fill the board seat that opened when Brad Smith resigned to become district superintendent.
Heiner, 36, of Ogden, was one of five candidates interviewed Tuesday. Heiner told the board he saw the position as a great opportunity to serve the community and take part in the decisions that would make his four children's educational experience better.
Heiner, a Roy native, is a sales manager at MarketStar. He was selected after a close vote and will be sworn in as a board member at an open meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday in the boardroom of the district offices, 1950 Monroe Blvd.
